Bedding Sets for the Infant Boy

When the time comes for expectant parents to decide on the nursery decor for the infant boy, color and theme are all important.  The selections of crib sets from which parents-to-be can choose is ever expanding.  Making a decision that mom can live with and enjoy are the first concern.  After all, it will be mom who spends most of the time in the nursery with the new arrival.  The color scheme should be pleasant and comforting to her initially as it will be some time before the newborn actually notices colors or shapes.

Selecting a color scheme should be the first order of the day.  The nursery will have to be painted or wallpapered.  Parents should select a basic background that will allow them to use their favorite baby boy bedding set.   Among the most popular of designs and patterns for the infant boy are the selections from the camouflage pattern.  Whether the parents decide on the traditional green and khaki colors or opt for the blue camo pattern, there is little worry that the theme will be overwhelming.  Designers have created beautiful camouflage crib bedding sets with solid color borders that will soften the look, making it comfortable for mom while stating that the infant is definitely a boy.

Another of the favorite themes is nautical bedding especially designed for the nursery.  This theme is particularly easy to decorate around.  The colors range from the more vibrant red, white and blue combination to comforters and bumpers decorated with starfish or anchors.  Often the sets are patchwork creations that have appliqued panels just fluffy enough to soften the overall appearance of the baby’s first room.

Some parents may choose to go with a theme that is more specific to a Disney character or a cartoon that is currently popular, such as Sponge Bob Square Pants or Bob the Builder.  Parents should be cautioned that when selecting a crib set with a character design since the parents may grow tired of the design long before the baby recognizes it.

Whatever a parent’s preference, crib bedding for the infant boy has never offered more selections.  Shopping and deciding on the perfect bedding set and nursery theme may take as long as decorating the nursery.  However, for most expectant parents the time is some of the most enjoyable they will spend leading up to the birth of their new son.
