A3 photo printers are like anything else – there’s something for everyone. The recent advancements in printer technology have not only made a3 photo printers a possibility, but if you look carefully, you should also be able to find one to your liking. Canon, Hp, and Epson are the three brand names to stick with in this arena. Come to think of it, those are three brand names to stick with in any printer arena. Let’s briefly look over a few of the models these companies offer and you can decide if you’d like to investigate any of them further.
The Canon I-9900 Photo Printer is a popular choice. For instance, out of 184 reviewers, 142 of them gave it the best rating possible. I will make a wild attempt to show how impressive these numbers are. If it were the 1960s and 184 people were asked to give a rating for The Beatles, it’s highly doubtful that as many as 142 people would give them the highest score possible. The I-9900 is known for its 8-color ink system, 6,144-nozzle print head, and several convenience features.
If you’d like a cheaper option, consider looking into the HP OfficeJet Pro K8600. This is a color inkjet printer that is not only capable of a3 prints, but incredible speed. It can print up to 35 pages per minute for black and color. An added incentive is that it comes with a black ink cartridge that can print up to 2,450 pages before needing to be replaced, and a color ink cartridge that can print up to 1,700 pages before needing to be replaced. This model is also capable of printing many types of media sizes and types, which makes it perfect for almost any business setting.
If you’re looking for a machine that is best at producing CD and DVD covers, look into the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 Inkjet Printer. This model is also special because it has an 8-color ink system with red and blue colors included, which leads to amazing vividness in photo prints.
All three of these a3 photo printers have been received well by the general public and professionals. It’s just a matter of what you’re looking for.
A Cheap Samsung Laser Printer That Can Hang With the Big Dogs
March 24, 2010 by GuestPoster · Leave a Comment
When it comes to cheap laser printers, Samsung is right there with the rest of the big-name printer companies. One such model capable of competing is the Samsung ML-2851ND Network-Ready Monochrome Laser Printer. It might be a cheaply priced model, but it’s not cheap as far as quality is concerned. And I’m not referring to quality only in regards to resolution, but for the printer as a whole. For instance, look at the speed numbers. The ML-2851ND can print up to 30 pages per minute and it can have the first page out in only 8.5 seconds. 100 sheets can be completed in only 4 minutes. This might not be top-notch, but when you see the prices below, you will understand the speed value you’re getting. This is actually not uncommon for a laser printer that sells for cheap, but it’s still nice to see that Samsung didn’t fall short with the speed on this model.
The Samsung ML-2851ND Network-Ready Monochrome Laser Printer is one of those cheap laser printers that offer some random and unexpected features. For instance, if you use Toner Save Mode, you can extend the cartridge life by up to 40%. Those of you who know how expensive ink can get will greatly appreciate this. This model is also very durable and has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages, which makes it perfect for many small office environments. There is an auto-duplexing feature, a 400MHz processor, 32MB of memory, a 250-sheet capacity, and a 1-sheet multipurpose tray.
Print resolution for the ML-2851ND can reach as high as 1200 x 1200 dots per inch. This is good, but not great. However, it should be expected for the price. Speaking of which, this model has a list price of $329.99. Not bad, but you can get it new for only $169.99 on Amazon. And if you prefer refurbished or used units, they go for $109.95 and $149.99, respectively.
The Samsung ML-2851ND is 14.3 x 14.5 x 8.3 inches. It’s PC and Mac-compatible yet operates much better on a PC.

There is a Safco printer stand model that has multiple shelves allowing you to store more than just a printer. These stands allow a greater capacity for storage compared to other printer stands. Some printer stands only offer the benefit of elevating the printer to a comfortable level. Safco’s products however go beyond that. Safco’s goal is to provide the comfort of a home in a workplace, which is why they have other products aside from a printer stand such as comfortable chairs. However, going back on the printer stands, Safco has a line of machine stands that do not only cater to printers. Their stands are made for any type of desktop machine. In fact, they are designed to hold machines like scanners, fax machines aside from printers.
The great thing about these Safco stands is that they are equipped with swivel casters for each corner of the base. This allows you to move the structure freely around the house. Everyone knows this can be very helpful especially when you’re cleaning around the house. By moving the structures, it will be easy to clean the floor areas as well as the wall corners. If you’re done with the cleaning, you can put it back into place and snap the casters into locking position. Safco’s stands often have two out of four casters that have a locking mechanism.
Some stay-at-home mothers have the habit of rearranging things at home. Aside from t doing it because they want to see arrange things in an optimum position that could maximize their uses, sometimes it gives them something to do. Staying at home can sometimes be very boring if you don’t have a ton of things to do. Having a Safco stand gives you an advantage when rearranging since all you have to do is wheel the stands to your desired position. It can even help in rearranging. You can use these stands as push carts so you don’t have to carry heavy objects. As a stay at home mom, it is important to conserve your strength in any way possible because you still need energy for when the kids get home.
Lastly, stay at home moms can make use of these stands by enhancing their organizational skills. Some stands from Safco come with cabinets or extra compartments that can help you store things. Though they are initially intended for printing supplies, they can be used in storing other things. They even do great as storage for the kids’ toys.
Being a stay at home mom is not an easy job. It’s a good thing that there are companies like Safco that provide products that help them in their day-to-day job.

A3 printers have changed quite rapidly since they were first on the market. It used to be that a3 printers were found only in large corporations or in photography studios. Originally, these printers were expensive, larger in size, and definitely high in quality. But now you can find an a3 printer quite affordable for most businesses and consumers.
Although one of the best a3 printers available is most definitely on the higher price range. Portable Printers For Laptops Information
February 6, 2010 by GuestPoster · Leave a Comment
Portable printers for laptops are hard to come by. The very portability of a laptop and the typical clunky nature of printers are in diametric opposition to one another. Printers come in a variety of types: color, black and white, photo, poster, etc. Each particular use of the printer and its compatibility with laptop use should be considered.
First, decide what you need the printer to do. If you only need it to print out pictures, then you certainly can find a photo printer at your local Walmart, Target, or BestBuy. If you need a printer for your laptop that can print out documents, such as term papers, you may need to consider looking at specialty stores online. Some stores will carry smaller, compact, and portable printers. This leads to the second issue: decide how portable you really need the printer to be. If you will always be printing in one or two locations, you may be better off with purchasing multiple printers or ensuring that you have internet access in order to obtain the necessary drivers for other available printers where you will need to print. For example, many individuals forgo the luxury of a portable printer by purchasing a printer for use at home and another for use at the office.
However, if you are in great need of a printer that you can carry in a backpack or laptop bag, you should try Amazon.com and be sure to check out the customer reviews. You will, however, certainly pay a sizeable premium for the portability—not only in price, but also in quality in every dimension of the printer. The quality of prints will usually be inferior to traditional inkjet or laser printing, so be sure to expect that—that will prevent you from being too disappointed in the quality of the prints. In summary, if you travel a lot and need hard copies of documents for clients and customers to sign, then a portable printer to go in tandem with your laptop is the perfect solution! Visit portable printers for laptops or portable printers and scanners for further information.
A Really Old Deskjet Printer
January 10, 2010 by GuestPoster · Leave a Comment
This is the HP DeskJet 100. This is an obsolete model but it still gets the job done. At a selling price of $20, it is cheap and very affordable. It is also very portable. It is about as big as a shoebox when folded so space is not an issue. It is also very easy to setup. Once you setup the installer that comes with it, which normally you just have to execute the “install.exe” file, you are already good for printing.
You can easily download the drivers you need for this from the net, as I am sure it still comes with the 3.5” floppy installer. I understand that most computers now do not have the 3.5” floppy option. It has a paper tray, which could hold about 50 pages so be sure you do not put a lot of paper, as it will jam the paper entry.
It uses the parallel port as your main interface.
It is able to print B/W as well as color. It is also able to print on bonds as well as glossy surfaces. It is also able to print on envelopes. Be sure to use the envelope slot when printing envelopes. Stacking them in the paper tray will cause problems for you.
This printer is very easy to use and you will not even have to use a manual as it only has two buttons. Once you have already installed the printer drivers in your system, to use it, just press the “On” Button, which is the largest one. Then you have the change cartridge button. The printer must be turned on when you change the Ink cartridge. When you click on the change cartridge button, the printer-head, the one holding the cartridge will move to the center. Gently open the front panel by pulling along the sides. Take note that the printer comes with two cartridges, black and colored. So be sure to replace the colored cartridge with the black one when you are printing text, as it will use up all the colors.
If you want to print documents, all you have to do is make sure three things: that the printer is connected to your computer via the parallel port, there is paper on the tray, and that the printer is turned on. Once you press “print’ on the computer, you can leave the rest to the printer. Just wait a few seconds, or a few minutes if you printed many pages. Easy, isn’t it?
Once you run out of ink, it is very easy to replace or refill the cartridges. If there are no any suppliers available for cartridges, you may opt to refill them in ink refilling stations which costs a lot less than replacing the cartridge. There are also stores, which sell refilling kits so you can refill them yourselves. Be careful though as it can be very tricky. You are supposed to force the ink inside at printing end of the cartridge while sucking out the air at the other side. Be sure to suck air first before pushing the ink in, as it will cause problems if you do it the other way.
