It is always difficult to find the best treatment for eczema that will best suit your needs. In most cases, the natural options are preferred over medical alternatives because they nurture your skin and total health. In severe cases of eczema, you may be tempted to turn to the doctor for help. Before you do, try Burrow’s solution.
Burrow’s solution was discovered in the mid 1800’s and it is made from aluminum acetate and salt. When first discovered, Burrow’s solution was used to treat ear infections. Soon after, it was found to help soothe skin rashes from irritants such as poison ivy and oak. Seeing the remarkable affect on the skin, it did not take long for it to become one of the standard home remedies for eczema.
The solution acts an astringent and an antibacterial. Astringents clean out your pores and tighten the skin. They help remove dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. Antibacterial agents in Burrow’s solution kill the germs and bacteria that cause infection. The astringent and antibacterial works together to cleanse the skin, eliminate infection, improve healing, and reduce swelling. It is especially effective on eczema skin that is weepy, swollen, and prone to infection.
To use Burrow’s solution as a cure for eczema, you will want to mix a solution at home. The solution is typically bought over the counter in liquid or tablet form. The ideal mixture is a 1 ml of burrow’s solution to 20 ml of water. Boil the water and mix the solution in until you are positive it is thoroughly mixed. Let the solution cool completely before you apply it to the skin.
Your eczema will respond the best to Burrow’s solution if you can soak your skin in it. Putting the mixture in a bowl or soaking tub should allow you to soak your afflicted skin. If you are treating facial eczema, you may want to soak a wash rag in the solution and then use it as a press to your face. No matter which method you use, make sure your skin is soaked for at least 15 minutes. Apply the solution to the afflicted skin at least twice a day to get the best healing affects.
