How to Make Money Using The Internet
February 28, 2010 by GuestPoster
With a down turned economy, not a lot of people are looking to spend or hire. There are still plenty of people on the internet, however, and there are a few ways to earn some money online. If you’ve got a good website, that site can make money on Google.
One of the ways Google can help your site to make money is with Google’s AdSense program. This can take virtually any site – merchandised or not – and give it a chance to earn a little extra cash on the side (or the sidebars, rather.) Here’s how to make money with AdSense:
Google’s clients want advertising space. The more people visit their site, the more likely these sites are to make some money. So these clients ask Google to post some ads with links that will go to their websites. Every time one of these ads is clicked, the viewer is taken to the website that’s being advertised. Also, every time one of these ads is clicked, the client owes Google a small fee for having posted a successful ad.
Now, Google isn’t stupid. They know that the more ads they post, the more ads are clicked, and the more money they make. But Google’s search result pages only have so much room for ads on them before someone has a fit. So Google created AdSense to allow you the chance to make a little extra money on your site. Google will post these clients’ ads on your web page, and every time an ad is clicked, Google gets paid – and you get a cut. That’s how Google pays you for the space.
One advantage of this program is that it won’t vandalize your website. Since you choose the types of ads that are most relevant to your website, your site doesn’t get weird, random ads that people won’t expect. And your visitors are only shown products they might actually be interested in. Quite a step up from the door-to-door vacuum salesman.
