Major Wii Console Discount Cuts Price To $149

Finally a price for the rest of us – Nintendo has decided to reduce the price of the popular Wii console now available through major retailers. After a price cut to $199 last year, the cost of a Wii console best price is now just $149. This is the lowest price ever for this game console. for $149, you get the white Wii console, plus the game Wii Sports, along with both a controller and nunchuk. When the Wii was released, Nintendo began by pricing this exact same package for $250, which was probably high for many potential buyers other than hardcore gamers. Last year, they lowered the price to $199 to attract more buyers for the holiday season. This new discount makes the third price cut for the Wii available at many retail stores.
It’s rumored that this price discount is due to Nintendo wanting to push sales of the new black Wii console. There’s a Wii bundle best deal being made available also at a lower price that include the black console. These bundle deals consist of either a black or white console, plus the controller along with nunchuk, and the games Wii Sports, plus the latest version called Wii Sports Resort. Another extra is the new Wii MotionPlus, a controller add-on that improves a player’s motion when using the controller, smoothing out the sweep of the movement-based unit. The new bundle with both Sports games also has a lower price down to $199 retail.
With these new discount prices on the Wii, both the basic Wii console as well as the newer Wii bundle package are now much more affordable, just in time for summer as the kids are out of school. Nintendo hopes that this price cut means that many families will make the buy for the kids, or for their vacation home, RV or as graduation gifts.
