Medial Epicondylitis Suffers

OK. So that is a very big word for something that we know and understand as tennis elbow so for the purpose of ease I shall refer to medial epicondylitis by its more common name. Tennis elbow was first discovered hundreds of years ago and people have been trying to find a quick and easy cure for it ever since. Unfortunately, just like most things involving the body, the process of tennis elbow healing isn’t a quick one. Some people suffer for many years and their only hope of curing their medial epicondylitis is surgery for lateral epicondylitis. This sounds more extreme than it really is as it’s a simple procedure that cuts away the scar tissue of the tendons and uses specific technology to ensure that the tendons work to their maximum flexibility.
If you have never had tennis elbow before then you won’t quite be aware of the pain or the restriction that it causes. Most people have pain that feels like a dull ache constantly in their elbow. This can sometimes become shooting pains when the patient tries to lift anything or grip tightly onto an object. This is due to the constriction of the tendons in the arm and the swollen joint. This pain usually shoots down the arm laterally and can affect the wrist too. This leaves the patient unable to use their arm at all and can make even simple tasks such as getting dressed a real struggle.
If you think that you may be suffering from tennis elbow then why not get it confirmed by your doctor. Only they can tell for definite and will be able to help you treat the problem and start to heal your arm so that you can use it just as you did before. Treatment usually involves seeing a physiotherapist who will be able to guide you through exercises to get you mobile again.
