You Too Can Purchase A Quality Conservatory. Ask Bryan.

I called to see my friend Bryan at his home last month. He was out the back with his wife Jill and they were taking measurements, moving things around, looking up to the sky and generally behaving strangely! When I asked them what they were doing, Bryan told me that they were purchasing a conservatory.
We started a long discussion on conservatories, because I had been thinking of purchasing one also and was interested in Bryan’s input. He told me that the best way to start was to do what he and Jill were doing, measuring out how big a conservatory they required. ‘Don’t forget to use internal measurements’, he said, ‘ and not the external measurements that the manufacturers love to talk about’.
He also was very determined to check out with the local planning authority as to whether he needed planning permission to build or not, as he had heard some horror stories about people who built without planning who then got hit with a fine or even worse.
I told them about a site I had looked up called http://conservatories-for-all.com and in it there was a post that suggested getting the new conservatory to compliment the residence by taking some detail from the residence such as the brick color and using it in the conservatory and they thought that was a good idea.
Bryan was going about getting some builders to quote for the project. ‘I know I want a competitive quote for the building work’, he said. ’But the quality of the workmanship is important also, so I am going to get a reliable builder with a proven track record. I do not want a builder who will do something crazy, such as covering the heating pipes with concrete instead of ducting them, just to save a bit of money’.
I left them later that night after a beautiful meal and promised to call around to see the finished conservatory in a few months – and to try some more of Jill’s wonderful cooking!
