Ribbons serve as a very useful addition when you are working with artificial flowers. The right ribbon can easily lend a touch of elegance and drama to any sort of artificial flower arrangement whether large or small. Look for ribbons that fit in with your overall theme and you’ll have the right look for your home or office space.

Ribbons come in many different sizes. Larger ribbons are ideal for larger floral arrangements. A ribbon may be as long as an inch wide. Larger ribbons work when the arrangement will be seen from a distance or on the media. Use them when there are many people who will see the end result. The ribbon itself can serve as a focal point for observers who are merely passing by or those who have specifically come for a certain occasion.

A smaller ribbon can be the perfect way to add a touch of understated charm to any arrangement. Look for ribbons that are in scale with the flowers that you are using. Long stemmed roses, for example, can look quite nice when paired with thin silk ribbons to create a trailing effect. Slightly thicker and longer ribbons can work well when used in fuller floral arrangements. A floral arrangement with a bow that is just slightly thicker than the thickest of the flowers will work quite well at adding fullness to the arrangement whether artificial or natural.

Patterned ribbons are also a useful addition to any flower arrangement. A pattern can be quite easily seen such as polka dots or more subtle to include thin colors that interweave and repeat. When using patterned ribbons you can either include colors from the flowers you are using in the arrangement or incorporate a different and contrasting color to the arrangement. Contrasting colors will add drama while colors that play along with colors you are already using can create a more harmonious effect.

Add Some Comfort in Your Wedding with Wedding Flip Flops

As a wedding planner, I am aware that a lot of things go into even the simplest weddings. Decorations, foods, flowers, and the attire of the whole wedding entourage have to be considered. But one of the most important things that should be considered is the comfort of the couple. I usually get to deliver that with wedding flip flops – especially if it is going to be a beach wedding.

Weddings are very formal in tradition but these days, the fashion has gone from traditional to casual. I believe that this is also due to the fact that there is a need to be practical and therefore to do away with the usual grand traditional wedding ceremonies. One big advantage about this is that you get to remain relaxed throughout the ceremony until you reach the reception. The comfort that these wedding flip flops can bring is enough to make the couple last through the whole night with much ease and enough energy for the honeymoon as well.
