Step one: Find, track, and evaluate.

Before you start trapping rats, it is of the essence that you locate where they are hiding. Identifying the extent of the problem is greatly needed in order to know how to address them properly. Locate rat litters or other trails that they left behind to aid you in finding their nesting ground.

Step two: Begin laying the traps.

Once you have identified their hideout, start placing traps on the said areas. Proper trap placement is highly essential since it holds the key to your success. Position as much traps as you need and make sure that their entire trail is fully covered. This will help increase your chances of catching them.

Step three: Prevent and eliminate.

Last but not the least you have to dispose the rat carcass left on the traps. After that, make sure that the infested area is already cleared. Cover the holes and other possible entrances that they might use to enter the house again.
