Pink is a very popular color for weddings because it is a color of love. With Valentine’s Day coming up, there are many weddings taking place to celebrate the holiday, and pink is the color to have. Be aware that pink is a very overpowering color and a little bit goes a long way. Try not to over do it. When you are planning your cute pink wedding centerpieces, be consistent with the shade of your pink that you choose. If you would like to use pink as an accent, it looks great coupled with white or black.

There are many different flowers that look great in pink centerpieces, there are many roses that are white with pink tips that make for great centerpieces, or even bouquets. If you are having a wedding on or near Valentine’s Day, you can use candy conversation hearts to decorate a jar or vase. This is a great idea to get creative and not spend a lot of money on your pink cheap wedding centerpieces. This way, your friends and family can enjoy them when they take them home and be entertained at the table while they eat.

Often times, feathers come in several different colors whether you choose to use boa feathers or ostrich feathers, you can get them in most any color or have them dyed. These can be a great addition to a tall vase with colored marbles or river rocks.

If you are having a wedding in the spring time, a perfect spring flower for your pink wedding centerpieces are stargazer lilies. They are a brilliant pink in the inside of the petal and then have white that surrounds them for a stunning color combination. Their green leaves really help to fill the bowl and make them look even more bright.

Choosing Wedding Centerpieces

When thinking of the wedding decor, most brides want to have the best wedding centerpieces displayed at their reception tables. While it is true that budget is usually a problem (there are a lot of expenses involved in any wedding), it is not that difficult to create wedding centerpieces that are incredibly beautiful and add to the wedding decor.

Some brides do get a bit lost when it comes to deciding on the look, style and size of the centerpieces. There are a few rules you must follow in order to be successful and it is very easy to end up with the centerpiece that will match the rest of the decorations. Are you having a wedding theme? Your centerpieces could follow that theme; for example, if you are having a beach wedding then your tables could display beautiful tropical wedding centerpieces. Exotic flowers are not cheap, but they are usually so big and bold that you will only need two or three in each centerpiece. Try to arrange them with lots of green foliage to add freshness to the piece.

Colors are very important when it comes to the overall look and feel of your wedding. Many brides choose colors according to the seasons: for a spring wedding, creams, pink and blue are perfect. There are many flowers that you can choose that display those colors. Also think of which flowers portray the season nicely: daffodils, roses, tulips and irises can look astonishing on your centerpieces. Mix a couple or more of the flowers always watching how the colors match. Summer is great for reds and bright yellows and orquids and sunflowers are great options. The fall is usually depicted by oranges and dark browns. You could add maples leaves and twigs to your creations. Winter is most definitely white and this color will also add elegance, class and great style to any wedding. For great winter wedding centerpieces, you could have faux Christmas trees with a touch of holly and ivy.
