Nearly every country in the world issues stamps but some countries are prolific in the quantity and quality of stamps that they issue. Many concentrate on genres such as Canada with its issue of Art Canada stamps (depicting famous art works) and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) which has provided many issues featuring sports events such as the Olympic Games plus an excellent stamp issue commemorating the ‘Golden Age of Television’.
Good stamp issuers will provide information about purchasing stamps, stamp purchasing and printing online, the postal regulations pertaining to the country in question. Some will offer a free magazine subscription similar to the USPS offer to supply the ‘USA Philatelic magazine’

Canada Post provides a catalogue called  ‘Collections’ which  features great stamp products for any budding collector as well as the latest stamp news and  issues. The unique part of this catalogue is that it provides information to other countries and philatelic items that can be sourced from outside Canada.
Royal Mail is the mail service provider of Great Britain and provides information on one of the world’s most popular hobbies of stamp collecting. Apart from their ‘History of stamps’ their ‘New To Collecting’ section features help on how to get your collection started, information on the stamps you need to start with and valuable advice to help you identify and sort your stamps. Royal Mail provides information on postal disruption throughout the world.

All mentioned above are members of the IPC. The IPC includes among its members Germany, Spain, New Zealand,
Ireland, France and has over 20 countries represented in the corporation. Collectively, these IPC members and their
respective operations deliver 80% of all global mail volume.
